  • The people that work here are very kind and friendly. Everyone smiled at us and gave you a feeling they were glad you were staying at the hotel. The line to check was very long, so we used the kiosk, and checked in quickly and easily. The Wildlife Habitat nestled in the center of the Flamingo was filled with exotic birds, fish, and turtles. I had my children on this trip and they loved it. (I never recommend bring children to the strip of Las Vegas. It is rarely appropriate.) The woman who was feeding the birds came right up to us and started education us on the animals. The kids loved it. All this paints a picture of a nice visit, it was not. When we got to the floor (8th) of our room the hallway was filthy. Every door was stained near and around the door knobs and edges. Our room was no exception. All the furnishing seemed clean, but the walls looked miserable. The bathroom was bare except for soap and sample size shampoo. No glasses, coffee, face tissue, or dryer. There was plenty of mold along the top of the tub in between the tiles. I went down to talk to someone about changing rooms, but the line was now longer. I ask a person who was in line how long they were waiting, and they could not give an answer. This was a quick stay over with really no time in the room, so we just toughed it out. That night when I went to sleep, I notice black marks all over the ceiling and wondered how many other people had just stayed one night before leaving. The next day I was the only one willing to take a shower. We checked out early and my spouse? and children spent the day at another hotel while I took meetings. I do not recommend going to Las Vegas' Flamingo Hotel. I stay in Las Vegas often for business, and I suggest looking at other hotels first.
