  • I like this place a lot. A modern Trader Vics. I would give Hula's a 5 star if parking was a bit easier and there was a misting system on the patio. That being said, everything else was awesome. It has a very cool vibe inside. The layout of the tables and the patio works. We were there kind of early on a Saturday night, around 6. There were plenty of open tables on the patio (because it's Arizona, June, 6pm, HOT) but since we were meeting a large group later we found a couple of seats at the bar. I did notice the dining room was full. Our group was going to be there around 7, so we had an hour to kill. After we were seated at the bar, our We first sat at the bar and had some appetizers and drinks. The food was all incredible and the drinks were quite tasty. Around 7:30 we decided to join our group so we moved out to the patio. There were 15 of us in all on the patio and we were never left wanting. Our server kept our water glasses filled as well as our drinks. As I said, the only thing I wish they had was a misting system or some way to cool off the patio. It was a bit sticky out there. Arizonan's, we get it. This is my new favorite down town spot.
