  • I attended the We Are Scientists concert last night at Beauty Bar. First time for me being here. We arrive early and notice no ropes or signs saying line start here. It was kind of a free for all until right before they opened. I think when doing a concert the hour before security should be there setting up front the line just to keep things more organized. The bouncer and staff inside were professional. Once inside we did have to wait until after 10pm to be able to go outside. Now I understand they have to set up but considering they had a 5 bands at beauty bar (3 outside and 2 inside) we were all kind of cramped inside waiting to get outside. It's not a bad thing; I just felt bad because some of us were blocking the view as one of the bands playing inside started. There was basically a group of people waiting to get outside so we blocked the inside band view for people there to see them. I felt kind of bad for the artists. I liked them but wasn't there to see them. Once they opened the doors then everything was smooth. People interested in the bands outside stayed outside and people for bands inside had their space. Pros: Price(cheap tickets) Lots of bands Space(once doors to back stage area were opened) Staff(friendly) Cons: Line setup(should have those ropes up 30 minutes to an hour before opening). Space(If no bands playing outside I can see it getting packed easy) Beauty Bar was very enjoyable and the price was excellent value for the bands performing. With some minor tweaks I think it would run a little better. I will be back in the future.
