  • My first encounter with them was when they wanted me to petsit for a dog but didn't want me to contact the owner to confirm it was okay for them to outsource the sitting. I declined. After that I got several very nasty messages from them. Then I see an owner on the news this morning complaining about a shock collar being used on his dog without his permission. They have changed some info on their Rover profile to make it look like they aren't in Vegas anymore but it's just to hide from search. They are trying to operate under the radar. Brent and Steve are shady and not to be trusted. "Pamela S. March 19 After seeing the story on News 3 about a dog having a shock collar used on it without permission I knew it was Brent and Steve. Sure enough, when looking through the reviews I saw Greg's review and recognized him from the News 3 story. We do use a shock collar on our dog but we went through the proper training (Sin City K-9, fantastic btw) on how to use it and expressed that to Brent and Steve letting them know we only put it on when needed. The first time we picked up our dog the strength on the collar was double of what we normally use. When I inquired about it they told me the strength might have changed through moving it around when picking up/dropping off our dog. There was no way for me to prove that so I let it go. The second time we used them and picked him up it was back to double again and when we went to put the collar on our dog a week or so later, he ran from it. Before that he never ran from it, he was always fine with the collar when needed. I knew it was because they increased the settings; I found another sitter after that and our dog loves her. It took me until now to leave this review from last summer because there was no way to prove anything but now I feel I was right to change sitters and wanted to let others know. " "They used a shock collar without any consent or disclosure. Steve met me at the curb and loaded my dog into my car for me. I got home and noticed Spot was wearing a shock collar, apparently they forgot to remove it. When I called them to ask why, they offered me several excuses. Said it was their dogs shock collar. And, it was being used to attach the leash (even though they used a loop leash, Spot already has a collar on with a D-ring, and, the shock collar has no way to attach a lead to it. Finally they just went quiet and asked "What can we do to make you happy?" Well how do you answer that? The damage is already done. So if Spot was barking or there was some kind of a problem, why didn't I get a call? Why send me text messages with pictures of my dog, saying everything is going great? On the other hand, Spot hasn't barked once since she's been home. Not even when the doorbell rang. :( Spot is a Great Pyrenees. Gentle breed, but known for being protective of the "herd". She will bark if someone comes to the door, or if she's left outside at night she barks at the coyotes that can be heard in this area. Other than that, she is quiet and just kinda hangs out with you. So now I have a shock collar for which I have no need. One that has a hand written label on it that is either B or 8."
