  • Last Saturday, I was playing craps. I had been the shooter for awhile - my take was about 30 minutes. During my roll for a point, the casino, dropped a money bank on the table. Craps customs usually require for new players or anyone to wait until a come out roll to buy in. But, Palms didn't do that. Their goal was to disrupt a shooter at the beginning of a potential hot run. It took minutes to remove the chips from the large plastic case and put them near the boxman. None of us at the table were up by very much, but we were just starting to win some bets. Also, I had been making a number of bets for the dealers and a few C&E's had paid off in their favor. When I said something to the boxman(lady), she laughed off my suggestion that they did this on purpose. Another dealer, said I hadn't been rolling all that long anyway. This was after, I made a bunch of bets for them. Of course you know what happened, I sevened out on the next roll. With the casino's ability to spot a BJ card counter a mile away, there is no doubt in my mind, they watched me roll numbers for 15 to 30 minutes and intentionally wanted to throw me off. Readers, you know what happened next, I crapped out. I cashed ahead, so this isn't a sore loser gripe, but I want to highlight how casinos are so hard up for revenue, they will even rig games where the odds are already in their favor. I used to love Station Casinos, but this was so low, I'm not sure I can ever go back. Craps is like my golf. I don't win much, but love the game, the strategy and if I walk away even $25 ahead, it's a fortune for me given the odds. Apparently, the casinos don't want us to even win that much. You should be ashamed Palms.
