  • ok, I honestly cannot believe the ratings on this place. Bottom-line, it is cute that it is the replica Eiffel Tower, but aside from that, this restaurant offers little. There are simply far too many better spots in Vegas to waste time here. Pro- Service was solid and well attentioned. Not full French formal service, but definitely solid. View- nice view of Bellagio fountains and some of the strip, but honestly there are better spots for views (top of tower, Stratosphere, as a couple of others) Desserts- of all the food we had, the desserts seemed to have the most attention paid to them (versus simply mass pushed out commercial kitchen food). Cons- Food- Food was average at best. Our group had a mixture of apps, salad, steak, fish, and desserts. Nothing stood out as particularly good. Each dish was just lackluster, and given the pricing, you should expect more. We ate at Per Se the day before and this place does not remotely touch it and yet it was comparable (if not more) in price. Wine- Honestly the wine list here is shameful. They have bottles at 2x what you can buy at restaurants within 100 yards (again same bottle at Per Se was $75 less--crazy). I do not mind paying for good wine, but the markup here honestly put a damper on the evening. Just know going in you are being taken advantage of and deal with it. Just for reference, one example- 2 days before I had a bottle of Blackbird, arise and paid $80. Here they had a HALF-bottle for $90. Overall atmosphere- The volume of people run through this space shows. The white tile floors are dirty and the red carpet is worn. Again think hectic brassiere versus fine French dining. Overall-this place seems to be lost between trying to be a high end French restaurant, a brassiere, and a tourist trap, and it owns none of its multiple identities. Maybe I went in with wrong expectations, but for the $$$$, you should expect more than a decent view.
