| - Being summer I went there because it's the only place that reportedly sells Hiyashi Chuka which is a cold ramen soup. I ordered it with extra noodles which usually is an extra charge of a dollar at most places. I was told before ordering it is $12. I had no drink, just water. When it came there was no soup in the dish. I was told it was a "dry noodle dish". In Japan the toppings are relatively standard, and differences in flavor are the noodles or broth. This lacked classic toppings of egg, ham, tomatoes, nori, but it did have cucumber. It usually has a dollop of hot yellow mustard on the side of the dish you can mix with the sweet soup to give it some kick. Of course no soup. They did give me some hot broth. I then had to ask for ice for the broth as it is a cold dish. Also, the soup is supposed to be a clear sweet broth, and they give me a miso broth. I made do with the alterations and would have given a higher rating as the waitress was accommodating. But the dish had red pepper on it. Not a problem, except the sliced pepper had pieces of sticker on it which made me think it wasn't washed. I expected a bill of about $14, but it was over $20, probably because when I ordered she asked if I wanted tofu or chicken--and I assume neither was included and she failed to tell me it was an extra charge. After I left I went to work--a 20 min drive. Once I arrived I started feeling queezy. About an hour after arriving to work I was in the bathroom vomiting. After vomiting I started feeling better which led me to believe it was the food.
