  • I don't usually write bad reviews but after my experience with Air Squad, I had to write this. If I could give 0 stars, I certainly would. My home warranty company sent Air Squad out after our main sewer line plugged, causing water to backup in our toilet and flood our downstairs. The blockage was so severe that water run anywhere in the house backed up into that toilet so we couldn't use our plumbing at all. When the technician from Air Squad arrived, I explained to him that I knew the clog was somewhere between the sewer clean out line in the front yard and the main city line because we had had the same issue a few months ago and when I opened the clean out line, I could immediately see any water I ran in the house come up the line. He tried to snake the line for only about 10 minutes then gave up and said that he couldn't clear the line. He said that the clog could be somewhere in the house, offered to remove a toilet and try to snake the line there, and then said that we needed to find a kitchen clean out line and snake there. When I pointed out that the water is making it out of the house to the sewer clean up line without any problem, he said that the clog must be in the city's sewer line, not ours. I told him that that didn't make sense because none of my neighbors were having issues but he he insisted that was the problem and told me he had seen it happen before in apartments (I live in house though.) He said he didn't have the proper tools to fix it and that my warranty wouldn't cover the city's line. He told me to call the city or call my HOA. I told him that I didn't think it was the city line and that we had just had the same issue a few months ago but he insisted that he was SURE if wasn't our line. He still charged me for coming out, even though he did nothing to help us, and he packed up to leave. Just as he was about to leave, he knocked on the door and said his boss just called and said that he had the tools to fix it and they would be back later if the home warranty company approved the repair. After a couple hours of hearing nothing, I called the office and the woman that answered the phone said that they were waiting on the warranty company to approve the repair and that they had 24 hours to get an approval. She said that they would not be back the same day and there had been some "miscommunication" with the technician. I told her that I have no working plumbing and two young children but she didn't seem to care. Again, all this fuss to simply clear my sewer line, which the warranty company HAD approved when they sent Air Squad there in the first place. I called the warranty company to ask them what was going on and they had heard nothing from Air Squad and didn't know anything about the so-called approval that Air Squad claimed they were awaiting. They sent out another plumber, who was able to clear the clog in under 10 minutes. He even put a camera in the line and found that some tree roots a couple feet into the line were causing the repeated clogs. The clog was exactly where I told Air Squad it would be and was NOT in the city line!!! I'm very disappointed that Air Squad wasted my time and had I believed the technician and tried to call the city to fix their line (which was never the problem), my family and I would have been without plumbing for even longer! Perhaps my experience is not the norm for Air Squad but use caution if you call them. If what they tell you doesn't make sense, get a second opinion. I'm sure glad that I did and I will never use Air Squad again!!
