rev:text	I had an event the day we arrived so I decided to outsource my two most time-consuming tasks - curling my hair and eye-makeup to the salon. The ladies I worked with were nice but I walked away feelling like I paid a premium for the skill levels they demonstrated. I have a fair amount of experience with the cosmetology industry so I was a little taken aback to see the stylist pull out a very plain looking, full-length arm having curling iron. I'm not even sure it was fully heated when she started. Don't get me wrong, I know they can work ok provided you take the time to wrap the hair around the barrel under the arm. But if you don't and you just use the arm as designed, the hair just isn't going to curl well for a lot of us. This woman seemed genuinely confused at how hard it was to curl my hair and had to re-do many sections which resulted in scheduling conflicts for the make-up artist that I was supposed to see after. All in all it was ok but nothing I couldn't have accomplished myself. Then I got to make-up. The main reason I paid for this is that when I want winged liner, it usually takes me a bunch of attempts to get it right and I just didn't have time for that. She struggled with it too blaming the weird shape of my eyes. If that's true, I guess I feel vindicated that the stuggle is my antomy rather than my skills but I don't know, shouldn't a pro be better than I am at this? Anyway, I personally can't see myself going back. I think the consensus from these reviews is that the spa services like massages are probaby decent but you're better off going somewhere else for beauty services.
