  • Mmm fancy pastries. I was strongly encouraged to come here after a friend recommended it, and despite the relatively small selection of choices I thought I might go out of my way to give it a try. Eh, not impressed. I ordered an opera cake, a lavender macaron, and a cassis macaron. The cake was pretty good - balanced sweetness and a rich chocolate flavor. The macarons were less ideal - they were chewy, which could be because the ganache has soaked through the shells and softened them into a taffy-like consistency. I felt "A-OK" with this place, thus three stars.
