  • I had a strange and unpleasant experience today. My friend and I were meeting here for an early dinner, and as I arrived first, I sat at the bar and ordered some gyoza to have while I was waiting. When my friend showed up, we asked to be seated at a table, and were "not allowed" to, despite there being 2 or 3 free tables and no lines at 5:30 pm on a weekday. Because we preferred to not eat at the bar, I wanted to settle my bill so we could go elsewhere, but was told that there is a $9.95 minimum per person, which I had yet met. In the end, we tried to just give them $10 without ordering anything so we could go, and the waiter finally just let me pay for my appetizer. My friend and I felt uncomfortable as there were two waiters standing around us telling us the rules of the restaurant, and we did not feel welcome to either stay or go. I have never experienced anything like this before and it was thoroughly awkward and unreasonable.
