I made Honda West my first stop when looking at new cars this past weekend. I love my CR-V and am in the market for a new one. This dealership also had around 10-12 of the 2015 models on their lot, and they had a very..I mean VERY slight markdown - they were BRAND NEW. I drove one and fell in love! However, I was disappointed when I went in to talk numbers. I won't say who the salesperson was, but he didn't even TRY to work with me. He said they were "in the red" already on these cars and they lose money every day they have them. SOOO, wouldn't you want to maybe take 1 of the 12 off your lot and lose a little money on ONE to gain A LOYAL CUSTOMER?
I was stunned. I am in sales as well and sometimes you need to accommodate your customer to earn long time business- when did that fundamental concept disappear? I still am shaking my head they refused to make a deal with me on A 2015 HONDA! (It's half way through 2016, btw Honda West).
