  • SO close, but just not quite there. I don't know what it is, but there's an odd back-taste (more noticeable on the chips than the fish) - it just tastes like it's off. Which it may be, because plenty of stuff in the store seems to be past it's sell-by date. A real shame, because I think these guys actually know what they're doing - the fish and chips are prepared just right, but spoiled by the odd flavor (which, again, I'm putting down to old oil). Except the scotch egg - it's AWFUL! Having been an early customer and semi-frequent visitor, I think my visits have come to an end. When I SEE so much out of date product and something tastes like it may be off, along with fairly heavy prices, I start to feel like I'm being fleeced by some dodgy geezer. It's interesting to note that following their two Maricopa County inspections this year, the chose not to request a grade. I could see 1, if there was an issue they needed to clear up, but back-back? Just makes me a little suspicious.
