The food isn't good, the portions are small, and the niche they're trying to fill is just confusing. Figure a place with a name containing the words "SoCal" and "tacos" would be moderately Mexican? Rookie mistake. Don't believe me? They serve french fries, clam chowder, and fish n' chips. No salsa bar. Everything is really wheat-based, including their sides of bread. It's like some English or Italians immigrants moved to California and started calling everything they made Mexican because they felt like it. But it's not even decent. My french fries tasted more like oily potatoes. I finally had to stop eating in Gilbert. These people must be incredibly hungry all the time because virtually all the best rated Yelp places in Gilbert are awful.
