  • in 2016 my wife and I purchased a used 2015 Chrysler Town & Country and a new 2016 Ram 2500 on the same day. We even opted for the extended warranty as these were vehicles we hoped to keep for the long hall. Not! I'll keep my story short. The van began having some engine knocking so we took it into the service department. Jason was our service department advisor. We turned the car on and he immediately identified the problem with the car and said they've known about this issue for some time. In short, the car needs a new engine. Now, an Airpark representative may come and share that's a little bit of an overstatement, however, when they start discussing replacing heads, rods, and cam shafts. I don't think that's too much of a stretch. In addition, when we walked around the vehicle for a visual inspection I pointed out a missing metal trim piece that attaches to the upper door next to the window on the drivers side. I explained that while driving down the freeway is literally flew off. He noted it and then immediately walked over to the passenger side and verbally identified that one was ready to go as well. I took their shuttle to office and was told they would follow up with me. Wrong! I called them after 4:30pm only to find out they were going to need the car for another day. They did provide me with a rental car. Everyday for nearly a week I called checking up on the progress. Not once did Jason call me. I always initiated the contact. Finally the car is ready for pick up. I'm handed some paperwork indicating that the repair was taken care of at no cost. I ask for an explanation regarding the engine. Some gentleman standing behind Jason shares tongue in cheek that I got a new engine in laymen's terms. When the car is brought around I notice the metal trim piece has not been addressed. Why you might ask? Because it's a wear and tear piece and not addressed in the original or supplemental warranty we purchased. It's not a critical component to the vehicle. So I ask, "Don't you have any concern that the vehicle is quite literally falling part as it's being driven?" No. That's the policy and service can't do anything about it. I understand service any not be able to anything about this , however, I didn't buy a car from the service department and I expect Chrysler / Fiat / Airpark to take care of this. His response? Wait for it..."I don't represent Airpark, Chrylser, or Fiat. I represent the service department and this is all we're going to do for you." I wrote (typed) a letter to the GM and never heard anything from anyone. I will be selling both of my vehicles and going in a different direction. I won't go back and have done everything within my power to dissuade people from going there and will continue to for as long as I can.
