| - I recently moved away from Vegas to the Liberal Motherland aka California. Commonwealth is the ONE PLACE I make an effort to return to each time I'm back in town.
First of all, the decor/ visual atmosphere is classy AF in a pre-prohibition artsy industrial magical kind of way. The Laundry Room speakeasy in the back is the crown atop the boozy cake.
The live music/ DJs are always ON POINT. A lot of hip hop, throwbacks, mashups. There is nothing more LIT than the upstairs dance floor on a weekend. On one too many occasions I've dropped it a little TOO low on that dance floor, but honestly, no rAGrets because it has never not been a collectively bangin' time. You get all types of people at Common, and it has always been an amazing place to mingle with friends or meet someone new.
The drinks are 100. Much more affordable that the legal robberies occurring on the Strip. My personal faves are the mules, just don't drink too many because in the morning you'll be living a life with at least one regret. All of the bartenders are as top notch as their liquid concoctions. Yeah it can get a little busy as times, but they're very quick and attentive to the point where you've at least been acknowledged as you wait. Special shoutout to Kat? The tall goddess looking one with the stallion ponytail. She's not only quick, but so personable as well when allowed the opportunity to exchange words!
Anyway, my point is - GO TO COMMON. It's where all of the locals go, for good reason. Out of towners looking to escape the chaos of the Strip -GO TO COMMON. That is all.
