  • *Update* Rebranded & Renovated as Chambers on First. The Turf is your standard American "Irish Pub" and one of several options to choose from in Downtown phoenix. I've always had good service at this place whether waitresses or bartenders. Happy Hour specials are decent and the whiskey selection is good. Beers on tap include the standard english/irish selections with a couple locals. Atmosphere is dim but cozy. This place would probably be a solid 4 star place for the reasons above but the food just isn't that great. It isn't bad but it is just so distinctly average that it's hard for me to justify coming back here with so many other options in the general vicinity. There's nothing inherently wrong with this place - it's a standard "irish" pub. I'll be back for drinks but likely eat somewhere else before or after.
