  • AZ Ice has become a good quality skate and hockey rink. Two sheets of ice, a nice rink-side bar and grill, and a new pro shop all make it the complete package. The facilities have slowly improved as well and now are very consistent - working showers, decent hours and clean bathrooms . The only thing that should be continued as a point of improving is the ice conditions. Some boards need repairs around the edges so that the molding is not uneven and warped. The ice is difficult to keep in the heat of AZ, so I understand that. This rink has improved in that department, but still lags behind the excellent ice condition of the Scottsdale rink. The progress , however, has been encouraging. I play here 3-4 times per week.
