  • I've always wondered about The Palms considering it was featured on The Real World a long time ago. It is off the strip which may or may not be to your liking. I found that the casino seemed to be lacking in casino games. It seemed very small because it really only had one cashier booth and didn't have any retail shops. Beware if you are not a hotel guest. I needed to hold my bags for a short duration while attending the pool party, but I was asked to pay a $5 fee for each bag because I was not a hotel guest. They apparently charged me but not my friend so I wasn't too pleased with that. If you are looking for budget food choices, The Palms has a good variety of cheap eats including McDonalds, Panda Express, Earl of Sandwich, etc. Too bad all the dining tables were filled with loiterers escaping the desert heat. I would stay at this hotel, but the amenities at the hotel seemed to be lacking when compared to the other hotels on the strip. Also, it is not within walking distance from the strip, but I suppose you could just Uber it everywhere.
