| - This might be the first time that I wish I could leave MORE than 5 stars. What an experience.
We made a reservation via Open Table, but I had a problem with the app when I tried to make a change, so I gave them a call and they helped me out without issue.
We arrived shortly before our reservation and were shown to our seats - a lovely booth for 4 that overlooked the Bellagio fountains. It actually took my breath away for a second as I took it all in.
Our server was absolutely amazing. I believe his name was Igor. We are a curious bunch and asked him a lot of questions - like where he was from and how long he had been in Vegas. We listened intently while he told us his story. We also had a Somelier stop by the table to offer assistance with the wine list. Everyone we encountered was fantastic.
Now for the food. Oh.... the food. What a treat! For appetizers, we had the steak tartare and warm lobster salad. I passed on the salad, but devoured the tartare. It was amazing.
For our mains, we had the Queen Filet, Beef Wellington, Venison and the Rossini Style Filet Mignon. For sides, we had the creamed spinach, the Galette of Potato Anna, and I think we also had the Brussel Sprouts.
The Queen Filet was mine and it was by far the best steak I have ever had. Everything about it was perfect. I also added the peppercorn sauce because it's my favourite. The only complaint with the venison was the Chestnut Spaetzle, which I'm told was not very good. The wellington and Rossini both received rave reviews.
We each had a cocktail before dinner, and shared a bottle of Pinot Noir with our meal. For dessert we shared the chocolate soufflé.
The only tiny complaints we had were 1) the bread is served cold, not warm. Though delicious and 2) the spaetzle with the venison was out of place.
This was by far my favourite meal of the trip. Made especially pleasant by the phenomenal service.
