| - Ended up here twice on the last trip to Vegas cuz it was in the hotel (The Plaza) & I'd enjoyed HHAGG before.
Second morning in Vegas, ordered "The Basic" with eggs over medium , bacon, griddled mashed potatoes, biscuit & side of gravy.
Breakfast came out with cubed potatoes & when I pointed it out, the runner promptly brought out a side of the smashers...not very griddled but whatever, they were delicious.
Biscuit was a little dry so I was glad I had the gravy for dunking. It also came with marmalade which was pretty tasty.
Breakfast was decent & more than I could eat...this being HHAGG and all.
Dinner the next night was Sage Fried Chicken & Waffles
(Two sage fried chicken breasts with hardwood smoked bacon waffle tower, hot maple reduction and fried leeks)
Chicken was tender & juicy with a nice fried crust. It's not boneless...in case that's a make or break for you.
The waffles had a crispy crunch with a fluffy center and BACON!) but needed more syrup, which I got right away upon on request. The syrup reduction tasted more like teriyaki...I wasn't a fan of that or the leeks but that's just me.
Again, too much to eat.
For both meals service wasn't too attentive. They kind of just take your order, check back once shortly after food is served, let you eat your meal then drop off the check. Not a deal breaker for a casino hotel restaurant.
All in all both meals were tasty but I think the main appeal of HHAGG is the huge portions & I'm more of a nibbler. Large servings & buffets are lost on me.
That being said, try it out, the food IS good & if you love hearty portions, THIS is your place.
