  • I have had banfield for almost 3 years now and have been to several locations (LV,IL,CA) and have never really had a problem. I just moved back to the area and went to this location as it is convenient for me. I took my dog in for his comprehensive exam and a teeth cleaning. The front desk staff was friendly and helped me with some questions i had. However when i was called about picking up my dog, Dr Huddleston was telling me about different stuff to buy for my dog for things that just seem ridiculous to get. Like a spray for some chin acne my dog currently has. Before letting me know a time to get my dog, he asks me if i want to purchase such medications/sprays for silly things for my dog and i asked him if i could decide when i pick him up. He seemed annoyed i didnt decide right away. When i went to pick up my dog, i was asking the staff questions about stuff Dr Huddleston was trying to get me to buy and what exactly was going on with my dog. The staff put me in one of the rooms to talk to the dr. When the dr came in, he still seemed annoyed i was asking questions about my dog and certain behaviors he has and whatnot. Then goes into all the stuff hes wanting me to buy. I straight up asked him if this stuff was necessary/which one is the most important i should get. So he advised me to get some medication because my dog licks his paws a lot and this medication may help determine if he has an allergy or not. Seems kind of stupid but i bought the medication anyway. I honestly just kind of felt put off by this vets behavior towards me and how he just seemed irritated that i was asking questions about my dog and that he was trying to get me to buy stuff for my dog when theres nothing seriously wrong with him. I tell my mom about my experience since she has been using this location for a few years and she informed me this is the same Dr that her dog hates. My moms dog is very friendly and if my moms dog even sees Dr Huddleston in the store he starts growling and his hair stands up on his back. One time my mom took her dog in and dr Huddleston tried giving him a pill and her dog wasnt swallowing it. So he grabbed the dogs mouth and pried it open with his hands and shoved the pill down the dogs throat. And this is why my moms dog hates dr Huddleston.. my mom still uses this location, she just takes her dog in when dr huddleston is not there. My dog has also been very whiney since hes been home. Im not sure if thats because his mouth is sore from the teeth cleaning or if dr huddleston treated him poorly as well. (Me and my mom have the same breed of dog) I will continue to come to this location however i will probably only bring my dog in when Dr Huddleston is not there. Ive never met/heard stories of a vet like this who just seems like he doesnt care about the pets/owners concerns. I gave two stars for the staff. (Ana, Anthony, Tami)
