| - Nothings hits the spot when you're in the desert like a nice scoop of artisanal ice cream. Okay, technically, I wasn't in the middle of the desert, but inside the air-conditioned PHX airport. While walking around, waiting for my flight to depart, I came across Sweet Republic, which is located in Terminal 4, next to Matt's Big Breakfast. I was so excited, since I didn't have a chance to try Sweet Republic while I was in Phoenix. They might have like 18 flavors available at their counter, including a few sorbets. The cashier asked if I wanted to sample anything. I looked over the flavors - nothing sounded super special, but the Almond Buttercrunch sounded good, so I just ordered a scoop of that. It tasted really really good. Really yummy flavor and bits of maybe toffee in it too. The only thing was that the texture of the ice cream was a little bit melty, which is puzzling because I started eating it as soon as the guy gave it to me. But the ice cream definitely was the perfect little snack. Also, the name is cute!
