  • As far as Tiki Bars go, this is pretty hard to beat. It's dimly lit, there's bamboo thatch over the bar, carved Moa heads in the corner, as well as funky island kitsch playing on the TVs and over the sound system. All boxes are checked, we are go for tiki. If the decor didn't get you going, then look at the drink menu, because that's also appropriately island laden and tiki festooned. Rum is the spirit of the tiki, and features prominently in just about every concoction. They even sell commemorative mugs you can sip your libation out of and take with you just to prove how cool you are to your friends. Beyond all this though, I have to say that I really like the bartenders here, too. They know their cocktails, and you can order a decidedly non-tiki drink like a vodka and soda and they won't browbeat you for ordering a non-thematic drink. All in all, this is one of my fave bars. If you pick the wrong night at the wrong time you'll be hard pressed for space, as it's kind of a popular place.
