Tempest is a really great seafood option in the downtown Madison area. The two of us came for dinner around 8:30pm on a Saturday night, and the restaurant wasn't too busy. We sat outside, but the inside of the restaurant is also worth experiencing as well. As an appetizer, I had the lobster bisque that they had as a special for the evening. The lobster bisque was good, but I wouldn't consider it to be one of the best lobster bisque's that I've ever had. I would rate the bisque a 7/10. The oyster's we ordered were nice and fresh. There was a decent enough variety of oysters to pick from on the night that we were there. My favorite part of my meal here was the lobster roll and fries that I ordered as my main course. The lobster in the lobster roll was so fresh and tender. I also liked that the lobster wasn't swimming in a bland sauce like the lobster rolls at some other places. Even though the hand cut fries were a minor part of the meal, I was actually a big fan of them and ate way too much of them.
