Most people realize the Rio is off the strip so the costs are lower, but comon guys that does not mean you can expose your patrons to a deadly bacteria (Legionnaires disease). My wife and I stayed in this cesspool in May 2017 and recently received a generic letter from the Rio to notify us their hotel and casino was infected by what is known as legionnaire's disease. Legionnaires disease causes a respiratory infection that can kill you.
In the past We have gone to the Rio for the seafood buffet, but sadly, even after a revamping of the restaurant, the food remains poor at best. I would describe the food as bland and tasteless. Some people will like this place because they can eat till they get sick. although that may be fine in some situations for some people, but when you add a deadly disease to their water system it becomes a non starter for me as it should for you also.
I implore anyone considering a stay or visit to this hotel/casino to think twice, is it worth getting really sick and possibly dying?
I highly recommend that you stay on the streets of Vegas before Visiting the Rio Hotel and Casino; it would be safer and healthier.
