  • The Freemont Experience is kind of something you only need once to experience once. It's a great get away from the shiny new casinos of the strip, but it's still Vegas, just older, duller. I guess this is what people remember and are trying to hold onto. What's nice is 4 queens is easy to get to, has it's own, albeit small and aging parking structure. By aging I mean the 5th floor elevator going down did not work, nor did the lights inside the elevator light up, slow. Check in was quick as we arrived late-night. Dropped our bags off and went for late-night oxtail across the way. The price is affordable, the rooms are ok, though I only slept in my bed once. Our room was on the street side so shows were going till midnight. The air-conditioning unit worked out, but I felt like as we got a smoking room, it never really pulled smoke out, just pumped cold-ish air in. The bathroom was kind of cool, though the sink was way too funky and the fan in there also did not work well, water pressure on the 18th floor was non existent and the whole body nozzles versus shower head seemed useless. Checkout via call in was easy, carts were hard to get and they simply didn't come by for service enough (our cigarette butts were in the elevator area for 24+ hours). The suite was much nicer in terms of bed, comfort, amenities, spaciousness, bathroom. TV's are dated and programming is mostly not digital. The casino itself has a newer feel than Binions, but has minimal table games, mostly slots. Their bars have no craft beer, but 20 different crap domestics and the bartenders across the casino need help with hospitality and accuracy, 2 orders were messed up. Parking is free if you are staying here, just get a coupon at the counter. Lock your car, some shady people lurk around here. Old Vegas is never going to be the Strip and if that's your thing, cool, but for me it's a getaway, something different, neither is my thing, but this trip wasn't about me either.
