  • I spontaneously decided that I was gonna cut my hair short two days ago, so I spent 2 hours on Yelp and BlogTO looking for good hair salons. Hitting 1 hour and 45 minutes, I saw a link, "The Cabinet Salon", so I clicked it and got here. I am so glad that I did because I went in today and had the best hair cut of my life! I've had the same hairdresser for 15 years and I thought that it's finally time for a change. The location is great but the only problem was finding the actual entrance to the second floor; it took me a while but I finally got it! (It's literally across from Loblaws/Winners and around the corner of Outer Layers. I hope this helps someone!) I got there a little early so I was offered some tea which was great, especially when it was -25 out. After waiting a little, Alex introduced himself to me. I sat down and we discussed what I wanted to do to my hair and then he proceeded to wash my hair. (The shampoo smelled amazing!) I sat back down at the chair and he went to work. It was so nice to see him cut my hair. I know this isn't what you normally focus on while you're getting your hair cut, but you can really tell that he enjoys what he does. He didn't rush anything and did everything with care. I'm still very impressed! I left VERY happy and like I said, best hair cut of my life. I will definitely be back again.
