  • We had a WONDERFUL a lunch at the Rawhide steakhouse Sunday! Staff was friendly and welcoming. The food and as delicious. The reason for only 3 stars, you ask?? The WHOLE reason we paid $5 to park our car in the nearly empty lot? Our college daughter was home and we were all healthy and available to take a family photo at the Old Fashioned Photo place where you all dress up in period clothing... We walked in, ready to take our family photo and we were the ONLY ones in the shop! Streets had maybe 3 other people wandering around. BUT no one in the photo shop except us, Santa Claus, and at least 2 employees standing there. We asked to be photographed. They say they were only doing Santa photos, not historical photos. Of course we could see all the period clothing hanging right there on the wall...Again, NO other customers anywhere... They said they only did period photos by appointment. Could we get an appointment, we asked? No. No appointments available today. Hello...??? No "I'm so sorry Ma'am.", no "Very sorry for the inconvenience..." We had planned to have these photos as presents for the grandparents this year. I'm sure would have spent a good amount of money in that shop if ONLY they had accommodated us. NOTHING!!! Customer service completely lacking!!! No where on the website does it mention that the photo shop had any change in the type of photos taken! I checked before getting the family dressed and out the door. Getting my 17 yr old son and my 20 yr old daughter motivated, showered, dressed and out the door for a photo is hard enough without getting there and having a complete let down waste of time. To say I am disappointed is an understatement! The 3 stars are NOT for the photo people, they only belong to the staff of the steakhouse for good service and for the nice girl in the candy shop. I will find another place for our photos and I will be sure to let everyone else know about my experience.
