  • Called them in a hurry to service my AC. The man that answered the phone could not have been more kind. Told me that a person would be out in 1-2 hours. No problem. The man showed up and was very nice. He immediately asked to go to the basement to check the furnace first. No problem there. Went to look at the AC unit and found that the compressor wasnt powering on. He ended up testing the voltage on the capacitor and found that there was zero volts on 2 of the 3 leads. This meant that the capacitor was bad and couldnt power on the compressor. He then offered to fix it right there, but wanted to charge me nearly $380. I said no thanks and fixed it myself. I bought a $34 capacitor from Amazon. Done and done. About 5 mins after the guy left, I received a call from H Jacks. They said that they'd fix the AC for a discount, and they'd refund my $90 for the service call. I declined, but it was still nice to get the call and have them offer a discount. Well done H Jacks!
