| - "Nice Toronto hotel resembling a lodge, near UT Mississauga"
I stayed here for a few nights on a recent (April 2018) trip to U Toronto Mississauga and enjoyed it. The lobby has very high ceilings, a fireplace, a comfortable seating area, and is quite bright, resembling a fancy mountain lodge. There was event space behind the lobby, though I didn't explore it. The staff were quite welcoming both during check-in and when I asked for any help (e.g., calling a taxi).
The room was larger than many in which I've stayed, and the bed was VERY soft and comfortable. I had heard that there were complaints about temperature of the room, but it was totally fine to me both nights. My only complaint was about the bathroom-- it was quite small (with a slanted ceiling over the toilet), had little sink space to put down my bathroom supplies, and had a VERY loud fan that would turn on with the light. Still, these problems are pretty trivial in the grand scheme.
I had breakfast in the hotel one morning. I was initially a bit taken aback when I saw that granola with yogurt and fruit cost $12. However, the serving was HUGE-- I could have easily split it with another person. Good quality, too. The people who ate with me also received similarly large dishes.
I actually don't know my room price since the university paid for me directly, but I'd happily stay there again. A-OK in my book.
