  • It was ok. I was here around 3pm on a Saturday as their sandwich board outside was promoting their specialty grilled cheese sandwiches with smoked bacon - hungry, I entered to inquire more. For a fromagerie the selection of actual cheese in the cool cases seemed a little sparse, maybe they had been put away somewhere? Or maybe cheese is only by special order? I found the majority of their inventory to be in specialty items like oils, gourmet canned goods, and accouterments for a perfect charcuterie board. I'm fairly certain No Frills has more cheese selection. BUT giving the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they were sold out of most things? I WILL come back to give it an honest second look. As for the grilled cheese, it was about $8.95 for bread and cheese and another $2 to add the bacon. The guy there told me it would be about 15 minutes for the sandwich? Really? Ugh, I was hungry and desperate so I waited... and waited. Finally, at about the 15-20 minute mark, the sandwich appeared. It was perfectly grilled/pressed and was delicious but the mark up on that skinny little thing was abhorrent, there was about $2 of materials used here for a $12 sandwich. Not worth the time I waited, or the price paid. It WAS tasty... but I could have gotten much more food in the same time for the same price elsewhere. The jury is out on whether or not this place stands up as a cheese shop, but as for sandwiches... nah. Eatcrest Out
