| - Flavor seems to be so lacking these days at most establishments. Not here at Forequarter. They use seasoning the way it should be used. So began my Monday night out, in food mecca Madison, with my good friends who said this is their favorite restaurant. Well I'm now a believer and soon I must go back for dinner at Forequarter.
We came in around 4:30 at opening to be treated to the Forequarter happy hour, which consists of the following choices:
House made crackers, which are so crisp, so flavorful and just damn good. Also serving during happy hour, the house tacos, with house made shells. Wow! Such a solid twist on such a simple food item. Served in twos don't sleep on this taco. Now on to the star, the house made burger for only $5 per. I ate three of them. They aren't small but they aren't a full size burger. Double patty and cooked a perfect medium, these little bad boys had a super savory sauce, tart pickles and a bomb cheese all on a well-seasoned soft bun! Hot damn these were so good.
Presentation of the food wasn't shabby either. Everything came out on a butcher's block, which is shabby sheik in my book. The atmosphere was also nice. It's a cozy little restaurant tucked into a cozy little Madison neighborhood in the city!
To say I left stuffed was an understatement, I was straight full to the hilt off happy hour. Sitting there watching dinner come out I was impressed and must come back to try the other goods. Madison has never done better than it's doing at Forequarter. I am a fan!
