My fiancé & I went for Sunday brunch, which can be difficult to get a reservation for. While waiting to be sat, another hostess came over & started complaining about a customer loudly in front of us. She was told to hush but continued to talk about him. It was a really bad first impression. Then another hostess came over & threw the iPad that they use to seat customers onto the stand (hard enough that I expected to see it broken) & the original hostess talked about her under her breath. My fiancé & I felt awkward, it was obvious they were all miserable & didn't really respect the restaurant...& this all happened within our first few minutes there!
We liked the decor, but I couldn't stop staring at the layers of dust above us. I know I probably eat a lot of dust daily, but I really don't want to see thick dust overhead at a nice restaurant. Service was slow, we didn't even get our drinks until we were half way done eating!
The food was great though! I had the French toast & my fiancé had the chicken & waffles...everything we ate was delicious! I just wish the people working were nicer! When you spend over $50 for breakfast food, you expect to be treated well. The nicest person we encountered was the guy running food to tables.
I really can't imagine we would go back anytime soon. Again, kudos to the chef because the food was GREAT...we were just really disappointed with everything else. Also, it turned out that the guy the hostess was complaining about was Kris Letang! Not cool. Let go Pens!
