My father has been taking me to My Mother's since I was a little girl, and it's still my favorite restaurant. Growing up with very little, My Mother's was a special treat for my dad and me. Back then, this was the fancy place to eat. Some of my fondest childhood memories were in this little hole-in-the-wall. We had a tradition of ordering the large prime rib - something I still do to this day.
I've been to just about every steakhouse in town, and My Mother's prime rib is still the best - hands down. Their complimentary bread rolls are practically addictive, and the salad bar is loaded with fresh veggies and homemade dressings. Everything on their menu is perfect and reminiscent of what "Grandma's Cooking" was like as a child. And... don't even get me started on their homemade pies that put Marie Calendar's to shame.
The atmosphere is very Country and comfortable. It's not modern and fancy, but that's part of what makes this place so special. If you haven't tried My Mothers, you don't know what you're missing.
