  • Rarely will I give a hotel a '5' - especially a mid-prices hotel, but for the money this place is definitely worth checking out. Nothing fancy but they do the basics right. Covered parking connected to the hotel. With the free shuttle to take you anywhere in Madison (and pick you up) it is a great convenience. Rooms are comfortable and relaxed. Once I figured out the heating system...all was good. Breakfast selections better than most mid-prices hotels. Great location for business downtown or any activities at University or Capital areas. Hotel staff quite helpful and friendly -- went out of there way to solve transport and other issues.
