rev:text	To start the food at KC is both enjoyable and creative. Choices are varied yet as an overall menu works in a very pleasing way. I've order and enjoyed the Trout entree, lamb and also shared an evening of small plates with a group of four. Loved the roasted octopus which is hard to find here in Charlotte. Now for the downside. Three visits to the restaurant each one effected to the negative by the staff. The front end staff and waiter/waitresses are not on par with the level or price of the food. Case in point, the last trip included; told my wait time would be 30-40 min at 6:30, went to the bar ordered a drink and they came to tell us the table is ready, great but each time I have gone to CK they can't seem to provide a correct wait time, how can you be off by 30 min at 6:30. Second we had an inside table and could not hear each other speak because it was so loud from all the parties of 6-12 (they only take resv for parties of 6 or more). It took our waiter almost 15 min to get back to our table to order because he had to explain the whole menu to a table of 12, maybe 2 waiters would help at large tables. Lastly our waiter did not return 2 credit cards to our table, lucky we had not gone far before we noticed, returned for the cards and received no apology for the last inconvenience. Sorry for the run on review but I hope owners/managers seriously look at the quality of the staff they are placing front and center to their guests. Food brings people in but bad service will keep them away
