This place is like entering a wormhole... Not only does this hospital basically have a LAKE at its front entrance, if you enter the main hospital via the tunnel from the parking garage you walk through a tunnel that has walls that are totally illuminated with rainbow colors. Yes, this just an aesthetic, but if a hospital goes that far to make your trek from the garage to the main building that entertaining you can imagine how seriously they take practicing medicine...it is more than what meets the eye. While I have never actually been a patient of the Clinic, I did a nursing rotation here and will say that the caliber of nurses, physicians, and the overall staff of this hospital go above and beyond any hospital I have ever been to. This is a world-renowned hospital and it is evident that they pay especially close attention to detail in nearly every aspect. Just a quick note...parking is a little steep. If you plan on staying more than a few hours in the main parking garage you will pay $10. Also, the cafeteria is very diverse but don't expect to be buying any soda that is NOT diet...no regular soda or milk chocolate can be found for sale anywhere in the Cleveland Clinic! Afterall, it is unhealthy:) But they do have a McDonald's...I can't figure that one out. Overall, great hospital.
