Wow wow wow! Came here after dinner on a Saturday night. I had an ice cream craving so we looked up the closest place. I wasn't prepared for how adorable this place would be.
This parlor looks straight out of the 20s. Yes, tons of ice cream shops try to be retro but this one was authentically so. We ended up researching the history the entire time we were there enjoying our cones. It was an apothecary and ice cream shop originally opened in the 1920s. The art deco details, phone booths, pharmaceuticals and apothecary bottles are all still in the shop! My absolute favorite part, though, was the stunning marble tables.
The ice cream was fantastic!! The owners took the classes offered by Penn State's Berkey Creamery and you can tell they know how to make a delicious ice cream. I really enjoyed my mint chocolate chip.
When I return I will definitely get a sundae. They looked cute but also the whipped cream looked homemade!
