  • Staying at the Phoenician and looking for an offsite dinner, we had a tire blow out and opted for a night in. Great choice! While not perfect, (in spite of my 5 star review), the food was outstanding. I was leaning toward fish, but the waiter described the steak and I was in. One of THE best I've ever had. I like a steak medium well and often I have chefs try to give me a lesser grade option thinking I do t know what I'm talking about. But this was PERFECT! Perfectly seasoned (not too salty), perfectly cooked. And I LOVED the sauces. LOVED! I can't say I had a favorite. So good. Other winners were snap peas (with mi t and ginger) which were other-worldly and beets. My wife opted for Tina taretar as an entree and loved that. Toffee pudding was ridiculous! The only "miss" was the four gras appetizer which was delicious but inexplicably served with a tart rhubarb purée. The rhubarb sounded good but so over-powered and disappointed that we opted to forego it altogether Bd just do the pate with toast. Really good. But in my humble opinion, a sweeter option would have made this as good as the rest of the meal. Drinks were great a an excellent wine menu. The place is a must! Shoutout to bartender Brian, who made excellent drinks and listened to us. And to Chris, who backed up our waiter and was just excellent!
