rev:text	When my wife and I are feeling particularly crusty, we like to make the drive to Lux. Any given time you go to Lux you should expect a few things: First, an insane amount of people crammed in to every nook and cranny of this eclectic space. People from all walks of life line up to get their coffee. Seats are insanely difficult to come by. People smell bad many times, and everyone is very occupied with what they are doing. The DJ in the corner is playing some strange granola-y music that you've never heard but makes you feel cool just listening to it. Atmosphere is ON POINT and LIT and all that. Whoops, what really should have been first was the insane parking situation. There are rarely spots in the lot, so you might have to park on the street, which, really I would recommend first since the lot is a bit toxic (last time I squeezed into a spot there I was greeted with a nice note filled with expletives from my parking neighbor talking about how he should have scratched my door, etc. for parking so close to him). Really, these two first points just add to the appeal of Lux, because it makes it feel that much more urban. The coffee is great here. The light roast is on point. However, you haven't lived until you've asked for some "whip" in your coffee. Just do it. (My aunt always asks for a "'skosh of whip" and is known as the skosh lady for that reason). My only gripe with this part Lux is the fact that an "iced coffee" costs like $4 or something insane like that. I think they just pour a double shot of espresso over ice, but really that is an insane price. It's tasty, but I'd almost rather get hot coffee and ask for a cup of ice..... The pastries and baked goods are great and there is always an assortment to choose from. They also have a full breakfast and lunch menu and everything I've had is great. I've vowed to my wife that one day I will splurge and spend my savings account on the NY Strip and eggs menu item. Anyways, Lux is awesome, and if you don't like it you're probably wrong, because it's the type of place that you should like even if you don't like it. Mostly because they have identity and understand what they are. I think that's cool.
