| - First off, I want to say that we have never had an issue with the front office or maintenance - if anything they have been accommodating, friendly, and are always helpful. We wish we could take them with to our new apartment (especially Ryan)! Thank you for making our stay easy and effortless! I feel like the front office staff doesn't get the credit they deserve, but again, thank you for always being warm and welcoming.
You can see that management is finally putting money into this place which is a step-up, but it looks like they might be selling the "Pinnacle" side of the complex (I'm not entirely sure). They finally painted the buildings on this side (thank the lord), the stop-light colors were absolutely atrocious. These apartments are older, and have not been tended to in years. Our bathroom sink was rusted when we moved in, and I think they just painted over it because the paint has been peeling since we moved in; the same goes with our bathtub. The walls are EXTREMELY thin. We can hear our next door neighbors opening/closing their kitchen cabinets, and we can hear our downstairs neighbors turning their lights on and off. We have a feeling that the windows have never been replaced since this complex was built. In the summer you can feel heat coming through them, and there's always a draft in the winter. We assume that there isn't any more argon gas in these windows, and overall our electric bill is high because of this. One of our windows didn't come with a screen either, and it took them four months to put blinds up on one of our bedroom windows.
People leave their broken down cars just sitting in parking spots for months/years which is really trashy. Recently, we've seen the office display violations notices on these cars but nothing is done past that. There has been a leak outside of our building for months so stagnate water has been sitting. They finally had someone come out to fix it. Renters in another building look as if they trashed their place. They left their couch outside on their patio, tore screens down, etc and all of this has been sitting there for weeks.
There isn't much storage/pantry/pots & pan space. The fridge we got is only 5ft so it's super small. I believe the sqft of our 2bed/2bath is a little over 1000. This all might work for others, but there is no room for us here.
We looked into getting an upgraded apartment, but were shocked when they told us the base price for one. We were told the upgraded 2bed/1bath is starting at $1350 (they didn't have any 2bed/2bath available). I'm sorry, but it's not worth it considering the square footage and the year of these apartments. That base rent can be found at a Mark Taylor/Camden/Liv apartment complex which gets you granite counter tops, 200-300 more square footage, an additional bathroom, more storage, etc. We found an apartment in downtown Chandler that is that base rent for a 2bed/2bath and includes a garage, parking spot, dog wash station, car maintenance station, granite counter tops, 1284 sqft, and the complex is only two years old. I understand that apartments are keeping up with the demand and fluctuate according to the market, but Elliot's Crossing is by no means a luxury apartment and they should not be charging anywhere near luxury prices. The upgrades in Elliot's Crossing are just painted walls, base boards, new appliances, new cabinets, laminate wood flooring, and updated countertops that are not even granite. Like I said, it's nice to see that the management company is putting money into this complex, but the price isn't worth it. You can find better elsewhere.
The complex is relatively quiet for us, we've never had any issues where we lived. We've also never had any issues with bugs. Having restaurants, shopping, and gas stations around is super convenient and nice. The area can be kind of sketchy, but we don't think it was anything to be concerned about. Parking was never an issue for us or guests. The pool area needs to be resurfaced and updated, it's kind of starting to fall apart.
Personally, the place is old and needs some serious remodeling. Front office staff and maintenance are both super nice and tentative, but the prices of the apartments are not worth what you get in my opinion. I'd look elsewhere.
