| - We were here the week of Thanksgiving in room 2161, good view of the Cosmopolitan and people ice-skating at their rooftop pool, nice view of the strip overall. We were able to see maybe 3 of the Bellagio's fountain that went off every 30 minutes. Kids really wanted to swim but the pools were closed for the season.
No long wait to check in, no issue with customer service, there was a upgrade available for $50, no free room upgrade for us. Our room was the star wars theme. Huge bathroom. Sink clogged a little but we only really used it in the morning. No fridge in the room, but you can have them send one up for a fee.
The casino was a whole lot livelier than Aria or Cosmopolitan. They did have go go dancers dancing at the pleasure pit (middle of casino). The heart bar was also in the middle of the casino and played music all night long. There was a flash mob every night in the casino, forget what time they did it, but the crowd loved it.
Another great thing about this casino is the location, if you step outside to the left you can take the kids to New York New York or Excalibur arcade, the MnM or Hershey's factory is on the way. Plenty of food spots. If you walk out to the right you can head to Caesars Palace which is not to far of a walk.
If you decided you don't want to go out, the mall is perfect in PH, you can go shopping, you can eat, there is a buffet at Todai. I suggest you try Earls sandwich, super good. We got a $30 burger from Gordon Ramsey's spot "BURGR", trust me its well worth the $30. I didn't want to get it but believe the hype.
We took full advantage of the 2 Starbucks on property. There is an ABC store in the mall right outside of the casino. There is also a Walgreens attached to the hotel outside to the left and a CVS across the street. If the kids are looking for the usual McDonalds there is one outside to the left of the casino.
The reason for 3 stars is because there was a chip on one of the drinking glasses in the room and one day our room was not clean for some reason. Also there was never any ice on our floor, we had to get it from Starbucks or the floor above or below. They did remove the $25 daily resort fee for the issues.
Free wifi for 2 devices per room.
