| - I wanted to try a place I hadn't been to so I saw this and decided to check it out. As we walked up to the door, some drunk lady was telling us to be careful not to trip over a hose. Well, thank you but where were you when I was 5? Anyways, it's old and dated and it shows. The table had a film on it as well as the menus. The waitstaff was all old school ladies who usually know what's up. Usually. We decided to share a sandwich and got the New York. As stated in the menu, it was piled high with pastrami,
thousand island and cole slaw. It had great flavor and was definitely big enough to share. It came with huge wedged potato fries, a bit more of slaw and a pickle. So far, so good....then....we ordered a bowl of chili. It came out and had onions and cheese slices (like Kraft cheese slices) on top. Ok, we're at a deli. You don't have shredded cheese? Either the cheese was cheap or the chili wasn't hot (both) but that cheese would not melt. We had to ask for ketchup, more tea, crackers, an extra plate and spoons.So....I won't go back there, mainly because it just doesn't seem like anyone cares.
