  • I'm local to Las Vegas but had to drop my sister off at the Cosmopolitan. I dropped her off in front of the casino and attempted to exit. The arrow for the exit points to the left but there didn't initially appear to be an exit there. It looks as though you'll drive into a wall if you continue. It's a strange set up & my car is extremely low, which sometimes effects my vantage point. Maybe I just wasn't as observant as I should have been but I made a mistake and turned back toward valet which is one way. Yikes! I caught my mistake immediately but couldn't turn around. Two male valet attendants then started shouting at me. Ok, I get that, I was driving in the wrong direction. Then they proceeded to stand in my way and berate me for my mistake in front of several people. I pointed to the arrow and told one of them that it was confusing. He then berated me further, stating the sign is fine...blah blah blah (so much for customer being right). I honestly was embarrassed and really was just looking to turn around and get out of the way. The valet driver then said "California right?" This was an attempt to insult many driving because locals complain about Cali drivers. Not smart for a valet attendant to shout out...wonder how many Californians were checking in at the time...area was full of people. So, as a local (not from Cali), I'll probably never patronize the cosmopolitan again. I would NEVER valet! That incident was unnecessary. This is how easily it could have been.."ma'am, you've turned the wrong way, yes I know it can be confusing. Let me help you turn around, next time go that way...smile and wave." There was no need to humiliated me, keep my car there longer than necessary & then attempt to insult a huge group of people (Californians) that bring tons of money to our town. This is clearly a person who's been put into a position with some power & is using it to berate & humiliate the guests. Valet makes great tips; this is a sought after position in Vegas. Valet is many guests' first point of contact and their first impression. This was very unfortunate, I'll not be back.
