  • Um, I'm a little disappointed this wasn't as good as the reviews said. Maybe it was an off night? We started off dinner with the fried calamari appetizer. I like to drown mine in lemon and then soak it with the marinara. This tasted so good we thought it was gonna kick off dinner with a bang. Not. J had the Spaghetti Alla Bolognese--I chose this for him and he gave me the stink eye when it didn't come out as expected. It came out as a mountain of pasta that looked really delicious topped with the parmigiano-reggiano cheese. But all we could taste was the cheese! So overwhelming that it left a bad after taste. I mean, I LOVE cheese--but come on. I ordered the Orecchiette With Frabonis Sausage & Rapini--again, it looked so creamy and tasty when it came out. I was really excited about the abundance of sausages in the dish. Sadly, it was way too salty. I tried to mix it well to disperse the salty flavor but I think that made it worse. The cream was really good though--too bad the rest of the dish made me feel so thirsty. We were both so dissatisfied with our meals that we only took about 3-4 bites of our dish. Our server, Kristin (I think? She was great throughout the night, btw), was kind enough to offer us other entrees to order but we declined. Not sure when we'll be coming back to give it another try.
