  • The Rio is... an experience. My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights when we were in Vegas and I don't think either of us would want to stay there again. Pros: the rooms are big and comfortable. The windows overlooking the Strip give you a very nice view at night. We didn't have to wait for check-in because a nice employee let us in through the VIP lounge. If you want to gamble there is no shortage of slot machines. If you like male strippers you got the Chippendales guys. Parking was really easy to deal with. There are lots of restaurants on the first floor if you feel like never leaving. Cons: The water went off one night we were staying there between 1am-5am. When we called to ask what was going on, apparently all the water in the hotel had been turned off for a routine check? Service was kind of rude on the phone. I realize that you've probably fielded 200 calls about the water by then but... still. Anyways I think there are better places to stay in on/off Strip, so will keep that in mind next time.
