  • ABSOLUTE WORSE EXPERIENCE AFTER BROWN MANAGEMENT AND LORI BAYLESS TOOK OVER MANAGEMENT AT THIS BUILDING! ROB B. I HOPE YOU are reading this and invite you to phone me directly. Lori has my number. Prior to this management company, Optima was peaceful. it was fun, and felt secure. I lived here with my two children. We were looking for a secure and peaceful place. INSERT LORI BAYLESS and you NOW have a nightmare. This nightmare is only concerned with ONE THING! PROFIT MARGINS. Protection immediately transitioned into POLICING. Regardless of how you view it, a management company is present to protect and manage the property. BROWN MANAGEMENT FAILS TO UPHOLD THIS PRESENCE AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED. Lori is an absolute rotten person. NOT BULLYING but a clear reality. Allow me to paint the picture and please know I am happy to offer the email chains and recorded conversations. Perhaps we can look at this as an opportunity? Perhaps this can be the review that sparks the change needed for proper representation and management of a community in dire need.... I TRULY HOPE ROB AND LORI ARE READING...take notes. Our nightmare began in November 2017. Keep in mind at this point I have resided in this building for almost 2 years with NO PROBLEMS. INSERT THE PROBLEM: 1. An unauthorized tow was made on my boyfriends car. Lori was not able to manage the situation, failed to follow through on her own instructions, and created a nightmare. Management is the ability to manage people, situations, or things and she clearly FAILED in this moment. BILL, the HOA Vice President, paid to have our car released, apologized, and case closed. Mistakes happen... A few weeks later we were greeted with a VIOLATION and now being fined for harassment of an employee. It leaves us to believe that LORI craves power and was now seeking $$$ as some sort of retaliation. She escalated every conversation, was an absolute aggressor, and leveraged her power to bully, harass, and then manipulate conversations to retaliate. THE BOARD/HOA supports her in these actions as they gain the $$$ from the violations she writes. LORI TARGETS RENTERS. As she uses the boards "BY LAWAS and CCRS" as a barrier claiming they will only deal directly with the landlord. As if it could get worse her employee, NATALIE, is in on the violation mission. 2. SECOND INSTANCE. My father was admitted into ICU and then passed. The office was made aware as we were anticipating flowers for his service. Flowers, fruit, and so on were delivered to the unit. LORI ignored the deliveries. Allowed them to stay there days. The flowers were limp and the fruit was molded. RETALIATION. When does it stop? We had a meeting with the HOA, the board, and Lori to try to seek resolve. My landlord attended on our behalf asking that Lori stop harassing. The board refused to accept that Lori would do such things. I GET IT. She acts sweet as pie in their presence. In their absence the residents all know the truth. SHE YELLS. SHE SCREAMS. She bullies and pin points residences for violations. How many times have we walked into the office hearing Lori and Natalie brag about how the residence do not like them... So LORI...are you getting a cut of the fines you deliver? Or do you just feed off of policing and bullying people? Fines range $25-$500...not a bad bonus? 3. FORCED TO MOVE. My children and I no longer felt safe or at home at Optima. Lori did an excellent job at making it clear that THE BOARD AND THE HOA DO not welcome renters. Per Alan P. "We are not in the rental business! We were here only to save as we are building a home....Its pretty sad. I know there are other renters and even residence there now, living in this policed hell whole Brown management has created. We moved, prior to our lease. Total costs to leave...$10,000 Out of pocket. My landlord lost a tenant. Our move out was less than pleasant. Lori fought us the entire time. Lori has allowed this building to go to hell. The windows are fifthly, the pipes leak, water is gray, the pool is closed and collapsing, and she takes ZERO accountability. Perhaps if she focused on management versus policing the building would at least have hope. This review is to you! The person living there that may not realize that this is not ok. This is a fair housing violation and at some point and in some moment this CAN AND WILL CHANGE. I am not mad. Just disappointed. 1. Disappointed that LORI BAYLESS is allowed to treat people this way. 2. Disappointed that BROWN MANAGEMENT defends such behavior. 3. Ashamed that Alan Perry THE PRESIDENT backs this repulsive behavior. 4. Shocked that William G & Sheryl L. Scholz stand by this circus. Your wise Bill... I only feel that we are here to be good humans. If you can lay your head on your pillow at night and truly say it was ok to be treated this way then perhaps we should all check our moral compass. Its time for a positive change. Optima is ran down and Lori is driving with money on the mind!
