  • The first word that comes to mind to describe Gene's is charming. The walls are plastered with black and white photos of old movie stars and various tchotchkes that you might find in your grandma's kitchen. The food also reminds me of something my grandma might have prepared for me when I would get dropped off at her house on a snow day. I had a hearty soup and the slider special which hit the spot on a cold day. Service was friendly and the prices were fair. I will be back here when I'm in need of some nostalgia and comfort food.
