  • WORST. HOTEL. EXPERIENCE. EVERRRRR. After the end of a long Vegas weekend, we had to switch hotels because most of our big group had already left to go back home. So we switched to a different hotel with a much smaller room, and ended up in Planet Hollywood. This is my second time that I've stayed at this hotel and it might possibly be my last. There were no issues at all my first time around. I liked that it's located in the middle of the strip and it was fairly clean. This last time I stayed here though, was a different story. So here's the gist of my last experience here: there was a freaking cockroach in our room! I could have sworn we booked a room for 3 guests, and not 3 guests plus a damn bug. Anyways, we called the front desk and told them that we had an unwelcomed guest in our room. First off, there are two phones in the room. We used the phone that was the furthest from the damn cockroach to call, but it doesn't freaking work! So we had to use the phone where the damn cockroach hiding underneath. So we get a hold of the front desk and tell them of our situation, but what appalled me was that they did not immediately change us rooms. No. Instead, they told us they'll send someone up to the room to check for themselves as if we were lying. About 10 minutes later, two hotel staff comes in the room, see the unexpected guest and finally deem us worthy of a room change. I mean, I wasn't expecting the room to be comped or even an upgrade. A damn apology would have sufficed. Nope. Didn't even get one. Even with the room change, the three of us were still paranoid about what was in the new room we were in. Definitely left a very sour taste in my mouth. Will most likely not stay here ever again. There are plenty of other hotel options in Vegas.
